November 1, 2017: Startup raises $11M to turn silkworm cocoons into eye drops.  A biotech startup that aims to turn silkworm cocoons into a treatment for dry-eye disease has raised $11.2 million in financing.Plymouth-based Silk Technologies Ltd. will put the capital toward early testing of its product, an eye drop made from silk fibers, said founder and CEO Brian Lawrence.
